After waiting for so long, finally Nokia launched SmartPhone by Windows Phone system. There are two models launched, they are Lumia 710 and Lumia 800.
Since Nokia announced their cooperation with Microsoft last February, both Lumia is the realization. Both run Windows Phone 7.5 which is known by Mango. Lumia, according to Stephen Elop, Nokia CEO, means light. Elop hope these two Nokia is the new sunrise for Nokia.
Lumia 800, which has one-piece body design, came with cyan, magenta, and black colors with rounded-touchscreen 3.7 inches, RAM 512 MB, and internal memory 16 GB. Its processor uses Snapdragon 1.4 GHz single-core with hardware acceleration and graphic processor. By using Carl Zeiss lens, this cell phone camera resolution reached 8 megapixels and able to record HD video, also supported by WiFi connectivity.
Lumia 710 uses the same processor as Lumia 800, but its internal memory is only 8 MB and RAM 512 MB. Its camera is only 5 megapixels. Lumia 710 came with black and white basic color, but the rear cover can be replaced by other color such as black, white, cyan, and yellow.
Both Lumia are installed by navigation application, Nokia Drive. Nokia also has partnership with ESPN to support information related with sports.
In the same time, Nokia also launched four cell phone models with Symbian S40 operating system, they are Asha 200, 201, 300 and 303. This Asha series are far cheaper than Lumia, but they have Easy Swap feature, where the user can exchange SIM/network without turning off the cell phone. This model is equipped by Qwerty keyboard, also able to play music for 52 hours. Memory card can be installed to 32 GB. This Asha 201 feature is similar with 200 model but it doesn’t have dual-SIM option.
The more expensive model, Asha 300 and 303, have touchscreen with 3G connection. Both are equipped by web browser.
